’To the End of the World’, the new album by Stockholm electronic duo Us, features 11 remixes of the band’s first singles by various producers and artists from around the globe.

On the album’s lead track, Us are joined by Ben Ellis, bass player for Iggy Pop and Marc Almond (and formerly of Catherine Wheel and Serafin) for a heavy, revved-up, hook-laden track that should appeal to listeners of Muse, Depeche Mode or IAMX.

“We wanted to give our fans a little extra music before we release our debut album ’First Contact’,” says Leo Josefsson, the synth-playing half of Us.

”Hopefully people listening to it will think of it as a beautiful diversion, or one of those amazing starters you get before an even better main course,” he adds.

Get ready for industrial-strength synth pop, blissed-out pitchwave, rave-meets-Stones comedown, soaring cello-powered balladry and more.

“These remixes definitely bring something new to our sound,” says Us singer Andrew Montgomery. “And it’s great to know that there are so many talented people out there who are inspired by our music.”

It’s gearing up to be a busy few months for Us. First comes the remix album, followed by the release of the debut album on May 17, when the band will be playing a special album launch show in Stockholm. Additional dates and info will be announced soon.
