Later this month, rising Nordic synthpop band Unify Separate will play its first headline shows in Germany.
The Scottish-Swedish duo will leave their Stockholm home to play two concerts: a headline show at Spunk Cafe Bar in Braunschweig on Friday January 24th, followed by a co-headliner gig at Hannover’s Subkultur club on Saturday January 25th, along with fellow synthers and sometime collaborators Sea of Sin.
It’s far from the first time that Leo Josefsson (machines) and Andrew Montgomery (vocals) have played in Germany; in recent years, Unify Separate has been the support band of choice for darkwave legends Diary of Dreams on a dozen occasions. But now the duo is taking the next step in its growing mutual love affair with the German black scene, and continue the momentum towards the band’s prestigious slot at this summer’s Amphi Festival in Köln.
Unify Separate’s twin headline shows will also act as a live unveiling of their next single, ‘Dark Heaven’, a heady black valentine channelling classic synthpop, which is out on February 14th. ‘Dark Heaven’ is the latest single to come from the duo’s forthcoming EP, ‘Heavy Meta’, which will be released in early 2025.
